Up for sale, a 2020 Orange TH30 amplifier head in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. One of Orange’s most popular current designs, the TH30 is a no-frills tone machine featuring a dual-channel design, delivering vintage-flavored clean tones and massive modern overdrive.
This 30 watt, all tube amp head features independent Clean and Dirty channels: the Clean channel is touch-sensitive and dynamically responsive, with aggressive trebles and punchy lows. The Dirty channel yields vintage grit to scooped modern metal distortion, with a wide sweep at the Gain knob and a Shape control to sculpt the signal. There is also a significant amount of output control, with a Full/Half Output switch, an Output Valve toggle and switchable 30, 15, and 7 watt operation to ensure the perfect amount of headroom and maintain tone at any volume level.
The tube complement comprises a matched quartet of JJ EL84 power tubes and a preamp section of four 12AX7s and one 12AT7 for the effects loop. There are a pair of 8 ohm outputs and one 16 ohm out.
The rugged enclosure is crafted from birch plywood, and cosmetic touches include black tolex, vintage-style jewel LED, and Orange’s iconic faceplate rollbars. This amp is in great shape, with just a scant few tiny marks on the head. The graphics are virtually pristine, and the original knobs are present.
