Up for sale, a 2020 Kauer Banshee in like new condition and in perfect working order. Redesigned from the ground up, the Banshee is a road improved version of the winged classic we all grew up listening to. By fine-tuning the reverse offset shape, more mass was added while simultaneously improving balance and fret access. The controls were also spaced out to be more user friendly, paired with roughly a dozen other subtle changes that culminate in the best Banshee yet. Built from solid Spanish Mahogany with neck through construction and a scarfed head joint to improve strength, this guitar is exceptionally resonant, with a detailed, rich midrange that translates well through the stock custom spec Wolfetone KauerBuckers (based on Wolfetone's Legend PAF). The neck position has a sweet, full sound with ample definition, while the bridge is powerful and present with a touch of bite and loads of harmonic content. This Banshee is exceedingly lightweight at 7lbs 1oz and balances well on a strap, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, accurate intonation, and low action. The mahogany neck has a substantial and chunky C profile carve, a hair more slender at the nut, yet achieving “baseball bat” heft by the 5th fret and beyond, measuring .855” deep at the 1st fret and 1.025“ at the 12th. The bound wenge fretboard shares properties similar to ebonized rosewood with a glassy, articulate snap that balances out the wooly warmth of the mahogany body. The fretboard has a player-friendly modern 12“ radius, pearloid inlay, and pristine stock slender fretwire. The scale length is 24 3/4", and the hand-carved bone nut measures 1 11/16" in width. The headstock features banjo tuners with white keystone buttons, and the serial number #425 and luthier signature are inked in silver on the back of the headstock. All of the electronics work as they should, with the Wolfetone humbuckers wired to Emerson pots and premium tone caps. The nickel hardware is bright and clean, and the plastics are equally minty. The large white three-ply pickguard retains a pristine gold Banshee logo in homage to the Firebird design, and the back control cavity cover features clean custom graphics and serial details matching the headstock. The gloss Pelham Blue finish on the bound top is immaculate, with a rich shade of walnut on the back and neck profile. The original Mono bag is included.
