Up for sale, a 2020 JPTR FX Silvermachine Dual Gain Stage Fuzz in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original box and paperwork. Based in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, Chris Jupiter and his team pride themselves on crafting some of the world’s “ugliest, dystopian, and magical sound devices… that value creativity and spontaneity above all.”
This pedal is JPTR FX’s Silvermachine, a dual gain stage fuzz pedal inspired by the best ‘60s circuits; rather than a direct Fuzz Face or Tone Bender clone, however, the Silvermachine dual stage design results in some truly unique, filthy fuzz tones. The two gain stages are wired in parallel, effectively competing with each other, resulting in an unrefined, unbuffered sound that is extremely un-compressed and deliberately open in character. The pair of gain knobs act as filters, and there is a tremendous amount of interplay between the two, resulting in a near-endless array of combinations that encourage extensive experimentation. Tones range from low-gain sizzle to truly wild, dynamic fuzz with fantastically foul, unpredictable artifacts and screaming octa-fuzz sounds, and there are a trio of internal DIP switches that can reduce high frequency output when engaged.
The large vintage-inspired enclosure exhibits light patina/relic’ing from the factory, with no other wear of note.
The original box and paperwork are included.
