A direct descendant of Gibson, Heritage guitars are still handcrafted under the guidance of original Gibson employees at the Kalamazoo, Michigan factory. After Gibson left their original factory in 1984, their employees purchased it and have continued the legacy and pioneering spirit that defined Gibson's golden age. The H-150 is Heritage's iteration of the Les Paul Standard platform, with a gloss Black Translucent nitro lacquer finish and Seymour Duncan SH-1 PAF pickups. The traditional tonewood ingredients include a carved highly figured bookmatched two-piece maple cap, solid mahogany body, mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fretboard.

The Seymour Duncan SH-1 humbuckers cover traditional PAF territory, with a clear, dynamic, and harmonic-rich quality. There's a smooth growl and present punch to the bridge pickup, and a broad, airy neck pickup sound, all benefitting from the resonance and sustain of the tonewood platform. This Heritage H-150 is an expertly crafted, USA-made guitar crafted in small quantities and capable of delivering the sound and feel that defines a golden age Gibson. The Black Transparent gloss nitro lacquer finish reveals the prominent curly flame figuring which extends liberally across the top. There are just a couple exceedingly faint finish scratches in the clear coat on the back, and the gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
