Up for sale, a 2020 Fender Traditional 60s Precision Bass in like new condition and perfect working order, complete with the original hangtags. An FSR (Factory Special Run) example with a discontinued Lake Placid Blue custom color finish, this model was made exclusively for the domestic Japanese market and is rarely seen outside its country of origin. The quality is exceptional, and the "Made in Japan" instruments exemplify the attention to detail and dedication on the part of Fender Japan to deliver instruments that have both an alluring vintage look and tone to match.

The Traditional 60s Precision Bass has a rich, balanced tonal profile, boasting a thick slab rosewood fretboard and vintage-spec split-coil pickup. Strung with 45-105 roundwound strings, the bass delivers smooth, articulate punch and round thump. The bass is particularly lightweight at 7lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with low action and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a slender C profile carve with round shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, gaining more heft as you travel up the thick slab rosewood fingerboard, measuring .825" deep at the 1st fret and .965" at the 12th. The slender vintage-style frets are flawless, and the fretboard has a 9 1/2" radius. Notes ring out clearly in every register, and the neck is straight with a responsive truss rod. The carved bone nut has a 1 11/16" width, ensuring optimal note clarity and sustain. On the headstock, the vintage-style clover button tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch well, and the face of the headstock has a classic Pre-CBS style "spaghetti" logo.

The traditional electronics work as they should, with the pickup wired to Master Volume and Tone controls with knurled metal knobs. The mint green pickguard and split-coil pickup both retain the clear factory protective plastic, and the factory advert is intact on the guard too. The Lake Placid Blue gloss finish is a very vintage correct shade, and the bass is showroom clean, ostensibly new and sourced directly from Tokyo.

The original hangtags and Fender-branded gigbag are included.
