2020 Fender Hybrid II 50s Telecaster FSR Blonde, Mint Condition w/ Hangtags, Japan MIJ

Up for sale, a 2020 Fender Hybrid II '50s Telecaster in like-new condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hangtags. This FSR (Factory Special Run) model features a discontinued Blonde gloss finish over an ash body. One of the finest Tele iterations ever produced by Fender Japan, and a model not available in the USA market. Features include a '50s-style U-shaped neck profile carve, a custom-voiced single coil pair designed exclusively for this model, USA-made CTS pots, four-way series/parallel switching, brass saddles, a bone nut, and taller fretwire.

The custom-voiced Fender pickups translate the guitar's extremely clear, authoritative natural acoustic tone into a vital palette of traditional Tele sounds. There's ample chewy twang and sparkle on tap in the bridge position, with a sweet, bell-like neck pickup and a very welcome 4th position on the blade switch, engaging both pickups in series for a particularly big and bold sound. The guitar weighs 7lbs 7oz, professionally dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings and low action.

The maple neck has a chunky U-shaped profile carve with generous shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .865" deep at the 1st fret and .910" at the 12th. The "narrow tall" frets have ample meat and show no wear. Notes ring out clearly up the 25 1/2" scale, and the fretboard has a modern 9 1/2" fretboard radius. The carved bone nut measures 1.650" in width (42mm), and the headstock features Kluson-style machines.

The electronics function flawlessly, with full-size USA-made 250K CTS pots, a large Sprague Orange Drop tone capacitor, and a four-way pickup selector toggle governing the pickup pair (both pickups are engaged in series in the 4th switch position). The brass bridge saddles deliver ideal top end zing and twang, and the chrome hardware is nigh flawless. The body has a deep belly carve for added comfort, and the gloss Blonde finish highlights the prominent grain of the ash. There's barely a scratch on the gloss, and the gloss finish on the neck profile is equally flawless.

The original Fender-branded padded gigbag is included, along with the original hangtags.
