Up for sale, a 2020 Fender Hybrid ‘60s Telecaster FSR in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with hangtags. A discontinued FSR (Factory Special Run) custom color example with a gloss Candy Tangerine metallic finish, the Hybrid ‘60s model is one of the finest Tele iterations ever produced by Fender Japan, and a discontinued model which was not available in the USA market. Simply stunning in its forward-thinking design and player-friendly features, the guitar features an alder body, USA-made Fender Pure Vintage '58 Tele pickups, USA-spec CTS pots, four-way series/parallel switching, brass saddles, a bone nut, medium jumbo fretwire, locking Kluson-style tuners, and a smooth satin neck profile finish.
The Pure Vintage '58 Fender pickups translate the guitar's ample acoustic properties into a vital palette of traditional Tele tones. With alnico V magnets, black fiber bobbins, a copper baseplate on the bridge pickup, and push-back cloth-covered leads, the pickups are extremely faithful to vintage spec. There's ample chewy twang and sparkle on tap in the bridge position, with a sweet, bell-like neck pickup and a very welcome 4th position on the blade switch, engaging both pickups in series for a particularly big and bold sound. This Tele weighs 7lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
