Up for sale, a 2019 Walrus Audio Slö Multi-Texture reverb pedal in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. The Slö allows players to create lush, modulated, sleepy and ambient soundscapes. It features deep modulation with washy trails, based around three switchable algorithms: Dark (Lower Octave), Rise (Ambient Swell), and Dream (Latching Pad), accessed and switched at the central three-way toggle. This all-black iteration of the pedal was a limited edition online exclusive, released in 2019. Dark adds a lower octave to the reverb trail, delivering a deep, wide atmospheric sound. Rise is an auto-swell reverb, which is cinematic and slow-moving. Dream is lush and wet, with a latching pad function when the Sustain footswitch is pressed. The three-way waveform shape toggle is located at the same switch as the algorithms, switched by holding down the Bypass footswitch while making the switch adjustments. The three waveforms are Sine, Warp (asymmetric pitch-up modulation similar to a warped record), and Sink (asymmetric pitch-down modulation similar to a vibrato). Controls include the Bypass and Sustain footswitches, with the three-way toggle and Decay, Filter, Mix, X, and Depth knobs. X is a variable control that is dictated by the algorithm selected: for Dark it sets the level of the lower octave, for Rise it sets the time for the swell to kick in, and for Dream it sets the depth of vibrato applied to the reverb trail. The Sustain footswitch ramps up the reverb trail when depressed and then gradually decrescendos out when released (except when the Dream algorithm is engaged). Finally, the Slö can run in trails or no trails mode, which dictates whether the reverb is immediately cut off or dies off naturally when the pedal is turned off. The two modes are toggled by depressing the bypass switch for one second. The pedal is in fantastic shape, sporting a limited edition all-black finish with only a few microscopic marks on the housing as a whole. The original knobs are present, and the graphics are clean.
