Up for sale, a 2019 Maton Tommy Emmanuel signature model EBG808 TE, showroom-clean and complete with the original hardshell case. Founded in 1946 by brothers Bill and Reg May, Maton Guitars are renowned for producing some of the highest quality handcrafted instruments in Australia, played by legends like Elvis Presley, George Harrison, and Keith Richards over the span of the past eight decades. This particular Maton is the signature model of Australian Country Music Roll of Renown inductee Tommy Emmanuel, featuring a AAA select grade spruce top with scalloped X bracing and Maton’s AP5 Pro onboard electronics.

Additional tonewoods include Queensland maple back and sides and a one-piece select Queensland maple neck capped by an Indian rosewood fingerboard. The tone is broad and balanced, with plenty of projection on tap, delivering round, shimmering trebles and well-defined wound strings. The long scale length also ensures ideal tension on the top, responsive to pick attack and particularly sympathetic to fingerpicking. The AP5 Pro Acoustic Pickup System has a three-band EQ and FQ sweep that spans 600Hz to 2.4kHz, offering precise control. This EBG808 TE weighs 4lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
