Up for sale, a 2019 Gibson SG Special in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the padded gigbag and owner’s manual. This SG Special captures the look and feel of an early ‘60s example with a mahogany body and neck, Slim Taper ‘60s neck profile, a pair of P-90 pickups, and a gloss Faded Pelham Blue nitro lacquer finish.
The tonewood complement yields a resonant acoustic response with an authoritative bark and midrange warmth captured by the pair of P-90 pickups. These pickups offer glassy clarity and sparkling treble detail, with an accentuated midrange and rich growl. The bridge pickup has a distinctive bounce and muscle, and toggling towards the neck pickup yields plenty of breadth and warmth, with a thickness that doesn’t lack clarity and takes gain with aplomb.
