Up for sale, a 2019 Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s model in near mint, 100% original condition, complete with its brown Gibson USA case and hangtags. Weighing 9lbs 7oz, this Les Paul delivers the punch and singing sustain befitting its reputation, with the traditional tonewood combination of a mahogany body and carved two-piece figured maple top. The Burstbucker 61 humbuckers feature Alnico V magnets (yet differ from a Burstbucker Pro in their tonal response) and deliver an array of traditional Gibson tonalities, with a dynamic and harmonically-rich bridge pickup, while a neck position humbucker is fat and sweet, retaining ideal clarity. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Les Paul Standard 60s is dialed in with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
The neck has Gibson's 60s-style slender C-shaped profile carve with just enough roundness in the shoulders, measuring .810" deep at the 1st fret and .915" at the 12th. On the bound rosewood fretboard, the medium fretwire is flawless, and the guitar plays cleanly in all registers with a straight neck and optimally adjusted truss rod. The GraphTech nut has Gibson's traditional 1 11/16" width. The headstock retains the "Standard" truss rod cover and features Grover Rotomatic tuning machines.
All of the electronics function as they should, and the pickups retain their PAF decals on the baseplates, along with the dated Burstbucker 61 stickers. The harness is hand-wired with Gibson-embossed Alpha 500k pots and premium Sprague Orange Drop tone caps. The nickel-plated hardware is positively gleaming, and plastics include the quartet of reflector cap knobs and the pickguard. The Bourbon Burst gloss finish highlights broad flame figuring across the top. Cosmetic wear is limited to just a few tiny dings and faint finish scratches on the body as a whole, while the gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
The original brown tolex Gibson USA hardshell case is included, along with all hangtags and case candy.
