Up for sale, a 2019 Gibson Les Paul Special in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hangtags and hardshell case. Offering the same tonal platform as a '50s single cutaway Special, this Les Paul boasts a gloss nitro lacquer TV Yellow finish, a mahogany body and one-piece mahogany neck, and pair of P-90 pickups. These pickups offer plenty of classic P-90 growl, presence, and midrange power, channeling the natural warmth of the mahogany body. The guitar is featherweight at 7lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with low action and fresh 10-46 strings.The one-piece mahogany neck has a chunky '50s-style C-shaped profile carve with generous shoulder and ideal heft in every register, measuring .880" deep at the 1st fret and .970" at the 12th. On the bound rosewood fretboard, the slender fretwire is flawless, and the guitar plays cleanly in every register with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures a full 1 11/16" in width, and the scale length is 24 3/4". The headstock is fitted with an upgraded set of Gibson Deluxe bolt-bushing tuners with greened tulip buttons.All of the electronics work as they should, with the pair of P-90 pickups wired to an untouched wiring harness with Gibson-embossed Alpha pots and Sprague Orange Drop tone caps. The guitar features a traditional Les Paul control array with individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup and a three-way pickup selector. Hardware includes the gleaming nickel-plated wraparound bridge, and plastics comprise a quartet of black bonnet knobs and multi-ply pickguard. Cosmetic wear on the TV Yellow gloss nitro lacquer finish is limited to a couple faint finish scratches on the back, and similarly light scuffing on the pickguard and rear control cavity covers. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless.The original brown tolex hardshell case is included, along with the hangtags.
