Up for sale, a 2019 Fender Modern Stratocaster HH in near mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hangtags. A rare, limited edition model made by Fender Japan and not otherwise available in the USA, this Stratocaster HH is sleek and mean. Essentially a new spin on the popular Aerodyne-style platform, the Modern Stratocaster offers additional premium features including locking tuners, a "Modern C to D" neck profile shape with a smooth satin finish, compound fretboard radius, contoured neck heel, and pair of "Modern Modified" humbuckers.The bound alder body has a belly contour and subtle forearm carve for optimal comfort, and the body is paired with a maple neck and slab 22 fret rosewood slab fretboard. The Modern Modified humbucker pair offers plenty of growl, punch, and articulation, with a traditional three-way pickup selector toggle and Master Volume and Tone knobs. The guitar weighs 7lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.The maple neck has a "Modern C to D" profile carve, and this medium depth shape has lightly rolled fretboard edges and more shoulder in the higher registers, measuring .835" deep at the 1st fret and .899" at the 12th. The 22 fret rosewood fretboard has a compound 9.5-14" radius, and the medium jumbo fretwire is flawless. The guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale, and the nut measures 42mm in width (1.650"). The headstock features a gloss Black finish with metallic logo on the face, along with Schaller-made and Fender-branded locking chrome tuning machines.The electronics function flawlessly, with knurled flat-topped chrome Volume and Tone controls. The two-point vibrato is slightly recessed into the top, offering a smooth response for quick flutters and deeper dives. The clear protective factory film is still intact on the rear control cavity and tremolo covers, a testament to the sparingly little use this guitar has seen since new. There are just a few exceedingly faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss on the body, and the satin finish on the neck profile is flawless.The original hangtags and Fender-branded padded gigbag is included.
