Up for sale, a 2019 Fender Limited Edition Roasted Ash Jazzmaster in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. An extremely rare and discontinued Fender Japan exclusive model from a single production run, this instrument is a unique take on the Jazzmaster platform, featuring a roasted ash body paired with a satin-finished maple neck. The dark transparent Walnut gloss body finish highlights the broad, dynamic grain of the ash body, and the roasting process removes moisture contained in the wood and crystallizes the sap to increase rigidity and stability. Other features of note include USA-made CTS pots, medium jumbo fretwire, and a modern 9 1/2" fretboard radius. The guitar is loaded with a pair of Fender Japan's "Vintage Jazzmaster" single coils, delivering plenty of sparkle and cut with a range of powerful, defined tones. Switching to the Rhythm Circuit on the lower body horn yields warm and wooly tonalities ideal for thickening up your favorite fuzz pedal or when a darker, smoother sound is required. Lightweight for a Jazzmaster at 7lbs 13oz, the guitar balances well on a strap, setup to perfection here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments, featuring 11-49 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation. The one-piece maple neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with just enough roundness in the shoulders and rolled fretboard edges for added comfort, measuring .840" deep at the 1st fret and .895" at the 12th. The dark Walnut-finished maple fretboard features a modern-spec 9 1/2" fretboard radius and medium jumbo frets that have plenty of meat and crown, showing just a touch of wear beneath the plain strings on the crowns of frets 1-4. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", and the carved bone nut measures a full 1 11/16" (42.8mm) in width. The headstock sports a Pre-CBS style "Spaghetti" Jazzmaster logo, with Kluson-style tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well. All of the electronics function flawlessly, the chrome hardware shines like new save for a touch of patina on the spiral bridge saddles, and plastics include bright white pickup covers and knobs along with a one-ply gloss black pickguard, reminiscent of an early Tele and exhibiting some requisite light pick scuffing on the treble side. The vibrato unit works smoothly and engages easily for quick warbles and surfy dives, working in concert with the vintage-style bridge. The gloss transparent dark Walnut finish on the body highlights the extremely dynamic grain of the ash, and cosmetic wear is limited to just a few small nicks and faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss. The satin finish on the neck is flawless. The original molded Fender hardshell case is included.***We are dealers for the Mastery M2 bridge, Mastery OMV-P Vibrato, and Lollar pickups, any of which can be installed or included prior to shipment for an additional charge***
