2019 Fender Japan + Guitar Magazine "Seattle" Reverse Body Stratocaster Black FSR w/ USA Pickups

+ shipping

Up for sale, a 2019 Fender Japan "Seattle" Stratocaster in near mint condition and in perfect working order. An FSR (Factory Special Run) model produced as a collaboration between Fender Japan and Guitar Magazine, the Seattle Stratocaster is a right-handed instrument with a reverse body and headstock, also featuring a simplified control array. Upgraded from stock, this guitar has been fitted with Fender Noiseless pickups, a brass nut, and Gotoh locking Kluson-style tuning machines.

Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and a rosewood fretboard, yielding a smooth, balanced natural acoustic tone. The Fender's 4th Generation Noiseless pickups are engineered to deliver an authentic vintage-sounding tonal profile with noise-free performance. These pickups offer crisp cleans, and bold, round overdriven textures. This Strat weighs 7lbs 13oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve with full shoulders in every register and lightly rolled fretboard edges, gaining more overall heft as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .825" deep at the 1st fret and .945" at the 12th. The slender/tall fretwire is flawless, and the guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The upgraded brass nut measures 42mm in width (1.650"), ensuring plenty of treble detail and note attack. The large mid '60s-style reverse headstock features a gold mid-60s Fender logo and Gotoh-made locking tuning machines.

The electronics function as intended, with the trio of Noiseless pickups governed by a five-way pickup selector switch and Master Volume and Tone knobs. The chrome plating on the hardware shines like new, and plastics are near mint including a pale mint green pickguard and cream pickup covers and knobs. Exceedingly well-kept, cosmetic wear is limited to just a couple extremely tiny marks on the body as a whole.

The original hangtags and Fender padded gigbag are included.
