Up for sale, a 2019 Fender American Professional Jazzmaster in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and upgraded Lollar pickups. This discontinued Jazzmaster model features a stripped down control layout with Master Volume and Tone knobs wired to a three-way pickup selector toggle located on the bass-side body horn. The Lollar Jazzmaster pickups are some of the most widely celebrated boutique JM pickups on the market, featuring black fiber bobbins, staggered alnico magnets for optimal string-to-string balance, and a vintage-correct coil wind. These pickups are articulate, glassy, and broad in their response, with more low end heft and overall thickness than any other Fender-style single coil. The guitar offers a trio of distinct, usable tones for everything from crystal clear snap and bridge position chime to neck position heft and fullness. The guitar weighs 8lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, spot-on intonation, and low action. While Fender describes this maple satin-finished profile carve as a "Deep C", in point of fact it's a modestly slender C shape with a fast, easy-playing feel and rolled fretboard edges, measuring .830" deep at the 1st fret and .930" at the 12th. The thick slab 22 fret rosewood fretboard has a modern 9 1/2" radius, and the original tall slender fretwire shows zero wear. The guitar plays easily up the 25 1/2" scale, and the carved bone nut measures a full 1 11/16" in width. The headstock features Schaller-made and Fender-branded tuners which have flawless chrome plating and ensure optimal tuning stability, even with heavy vibrato use.All of the electronics work as intended, and the upgraded Lollar pickup pair is fitted with cream covers. The Mustang bridge offers more stability than traditional Jazzmaster saddles, and these saddles are also plated brass, another feature which adds top end and pushes the tonal profile of this Jazzmaster closer to an early model Tele. String spacing at the bridge is 56mm. The treble bleed circuit installed on the Volume pot also ensures that treble detail is retained when rolling down the knob for a smoother taper than vintage models. The chrome hardware and plastic parts are practically perfect save for a bit of light pick scuffing on the treble side of the guard, and the vibrato has a unique (for a Jazzmaster) screw-in vibrato arm. There are just a few exceedingly faint finish scratches on the gloss Candy Apple Red finish on the body as a whole, and the satin-finished neck profile is flawless. The original hardshell case is included.
