Up for sale, a 2019 Fender Limited Edition Aerodyne Classic Stratocaster in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. An uncommon model, this Limited Edition Strat was made exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and features a Sunburst-finished flame maple top framed by cream body binding, capping a basswood body. The bookmatched top is contoured in classic "drop top" fashion, ergonomic for the player. Loaded with a trio of stock staggered pole single coil pickups, the guitar boasts a five-way pickup selector toggle and array of classic Strat tonalities. Plenty of sparkle and smooth, warm single coil silk can be coaxed out of these pickups, and the Aerodyne feels elegant and effortless. The guitar weighs 7lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation. The maple neck has a medium C profile carve with good shoulder and faintly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .850" deep at the 1st fret and .965" at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features pearloid dot inlay, a vintage-spec 7.25” radius, and stock slender fretwire. The frets have their full height with well-rounded crowns, showing only faint wear beneath the plain strings on the crowns of frets 1-2 and virtually no wear further up the fretboard. The guitar plays well up the 25 1/2" scale, and the bone nut measures 1 5/8" in width. The headstock features Kluson-style Gotoh tuners which turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should. The "Made in Japan" text and JD19-prefix serial number are present on the back of the headstock. All of the electronics function as intended, with a traditional Stratocaster control layout and five-way pickup selector switch. The guitar features a vintage-style Strat vibrato which anchors with six screws and is slightly recessed into the body. The individual Fender-branded bridge saddles show just a touch of patina, while the bridge base and jack cup have plenty of shine on the chrome plating. The three-tone Sunburst gloss highlights tight ripples of curly flame extending across the top, and cosmetic wear is limited to faint scuffs in the finish on the back and sides of the body. The neck profile sports a pristine smooth satin finish. A gigbag is included.
