Up for sale, a 2019 Eastman Mandola model MDA815 in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and CoA. This finely-crafted Eastman F-style mandola features a solid spruce top, solid flame maple back and sides, flame maple neck, and bound ebony fingerboard.
Tuned CGDA, a fifth down from a mandolin, this Mandola offers the sparkling top end and projection of a traditional mandolin, yet with a broader, deeper response. The tonewood complement yields plenty of inherent articulation and glassy snap via the combination of maple and ebony, with a percussive, woody chop for rhythm playing and punchy mids perfect melodic soloing. Weighing 2lbs 14oz, this Mandola has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 15-52 bronze strings and ideal action.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Flame maple (two-piece, walnut stringer)
-Shape: V, measuring .905” 1st fret, .980” 7th fret
-Fretboard: Ebony, abalone inlay, grained ivoroid binding
-Frets: Slender, Jescar FW37053, no wear
-Scale Length: 16”
-Nut: 1 11/32”, bone
-Tuners: Gotoh MF40R-MP-NI strips
Body Specs:
-Wood: Spruce top, flame maple back/sides
-Hardware: Compensated ebony bridge, nickel-plated tailpiece

The gloss Classic finish evokes the look of a violin, with a very subtle burst gradient highlighting the sculpting of the F-style body and the deep, dimensional flame figuring on the back and rims. Extremely well-kept since new, cosmetic wear is limited to just a couple faint finish scratches on the body as a whole. The gloss on the neck profile is flawless, also highlighting rich figuring in the maple.
The original hardshell case with form-fit red plush interior (and dust cloth) is included, along with the CoA, dated 6/6/19.
