Up for sale, a 2019 Dirty Haggard Audio Demonic Percolator in mint condition. This hand-wired boutique pedal is a modern take on the ‘70s Interfax Harmonic Percolator circuit, an exceedingly rare fuzz pedal produced in very limited quantities and prized by fuzz aficionados (most notably Steve Albini) for its absolutely hair-raising tone, ugly and disgusting in all the right ways.
Designed with heavy playing in mind, features unique to the Demonic Percolator include two noise gates, ensuring a low noise floor, an input boost to drive the first gain stage, and an output boost to keep the volume above unity. The Tone knob is a tilt EQ that favors low end to the left and high frequencies to the right, while the Gain knob operates within a high gain range, squaring off and losing articulation at its highest setting.
