2018 Vox AC4 Hand-Wired AC4HW1 1x12 4-Watt Class A Tube Guitar Amp w/ Celestion Greenback

Up for sale, a Vox AC4 Hand-Wired model AC4HW1 in near-mint condition and in perfect working order. A recently discontinued model, the AC4 leans on the heritage of the original 1960s JMI design while offering additional modern features. Hand-wired with turret board construction, the AC4HW1 features separate Gain and Volume knobs, so chiming cleans and overdriven sizzle can be achieved at apartment-friendly volumes. The Top Boost Treble/Bass circuitry is a Vox favorite, offering more sonic flexibility than the simple "Cut" control of an AC4 from the '60s, and the Hot/Cool two-way mini toggle is an extremely useful tone sculpting tool. The Cool setting is clean and sparkling, only pushing into mild overdrive, while the Hot setting bypasses the tone controls, delivering maximum gain. Diode-based rectification provides significant headroom, and the larger cabinet and 12" Celestion Greenback speaker deliver bold low end and additional oomph compared to a vintage AC4 equivalent. The enclosure is constructed from solid birch ply with fawn vinyl covering, gold piping, brown diamond lattice grillcloth, and molded cream plastic accents including the handle, vents and feet. There's barely a scratch on the cabinet, and the original slip cover is included (not pictured).
