Up for sale, a 2018 Schecter Guitar Research Stiletto Studio-8 bass in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original molded hardshell case. This sleek, versatile 8-string bass sports a See-Thru Black satin finish and delivers a bevy of rich, textured tones, loaded with a pair of EMG-Hz pickups and an active three-band EQ.Featuring neck-through construction with "Ultra Access" contouring, the tonewood complement includes a five-piece maple/walnut neck, mahogany body wings, and a flame maple top. At 9lbs 6oz, this bass is resonant and authoritative, and the stock pair of EMG-Hz pickups are well-balanced and powerful. The active three-band EQ ensures the tone can be tweaked effectively to pair well with a variety of rigs, sculpting the chorusing thump and midrange-forward growl of the instrument. This Schecter has been professionally setup haere at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and spot-on intonation. The five-piece maple/walnut neck has a fast-feeling slender C-shaped profile carve with moderate shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .785” deep at the 1st fret and .900” at the 12th. The slab rosewood fretboard has a 16” radius with offset abalone dot inlay, and the stock jumbo fretwire is practically perfect with its full factory height and well-rounded crowns. This bass plays cleanly up the 34” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod, and the neck's heel-less construction and deep, rounded cutaways ensure easy access to the highest frets. The nut measures 1.574” (40mm) in width. The headstock sports a flame maple veneer, with alternating Grover Rotomatic and Schecter-branded tuning machines (Rotomatics for the thinner strings, Schecters for the heavier gauges), all of which have clean black chrome plating. All of the electronics function as intended; the EMG-Hz pickups are governed by a Master Volume control, a center detent Pickup Blend knob, and active three-band EQ. Each EQ knob is center detent, offering a rich boost or cut in the bass, midrange, and treble registers, powered by a 9V battery. The black chrome-plated hardware is notably clean, including the quintet of dome-topped knurled knobs and the Diamond Custom bridge. The See-Thru Black satin finish highlights the tight, straight flame figuring that extends liberally across the top. The bass is sparingly played since new, with just a scant few faint marks on the body as a whole. The smooth satin finish on the neck profile is flawless. The original Schecter Guitar Research-branded molded hardshell case with blue plush form-fit interior is included.
