Up for sale, a 2018 Fender Traditional ‘60s Stratocaster Gold Hardware model in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This uncommon “Made in Japan” Strat delivers quintessential vintage Stratocaster tonalities with SRV-styled aesthetics including a three-tone Sunburst gloss finished accented by black/cream plastics and gold-plated hardware.
An upgrade from the basswood bodies seen on most Traditional series models, this Stratocaster features an alder body paired with a maple neck and slab rosewood fretboard. The original trio of Vintage-Style single coil pickups deliver quintessential Strat tonalities, with chewy twang at the bridge, woody chop and fullness at the neck, and hollow quack at the “in-between” positions on the five-way pickup selector switch. This Traditional ‘60s Strat weighs 7lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium C, full shoulders, measuring .850” 1st fret, .950” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 7 1/4” vintage-spec radius
-Frets: Slender, pristine
-Scale Length: 25 1/2”
-Nut: 1.650” (42mm), bone
-Tuners: Kluson-style, Gotoh
-Serialization: “Made in Japan,” JD18-prefix
Body Specs:
-Wood: Alder
-Pickups: Vintage-Style single coil x3
-Controls: Volume/Tone/Tone, Three-way pickup selector
-Hardware: Vintage-style Synchronized Tremolo, jack cup, strap buttons, and screws (all gold-plated)
-Plastics: Three-ply black pickguard, Vintage White knobs/pickup covers
The three-tone Sunburst finish exhibits only a few faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is flawless.
The original Fender-branded gigbag is included.
