Up for sale, a 2018 Fender FSR Traditional 50s Stratocaster with Competition Stripe in showroom clean condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Made in Japan, and long since discontinued, this Stratocaster has a Factory Special Run Lake Placid Blue metalflake gloss finish accented by an Ice Blue Competition Stripe.

Tonewoods include a basswood body and one-piece maple neck, and via the trio of alnico magnet single coils, the guitar offers plenty of chiming sparkle, percussive cut and bell-like sweetness with a five-way pickup selector switch. Weighing 8lbs, this Strat benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a very round C-shaped profile, indicative of a 1955-56 profile carve with generous shoulders in every register, measuring .870" deep at the 1st fret and .975" at the 12th. The fretboard has a vintage-spec 7 1/4" radius, and the slender fretwire is flawless, playing cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod.
The synthetic bone nut measures 1.650" in width, and on the headstock, the Kluson-style Gotoh tuning machines have the correct vintage look, turn smoothly, and hold pitch well.

All of the electronics work as they should, and the alnico magnet single coils pickups are cleanly wired to USA-made full-size CTS with a five-way pickup selector switch. The chrome hardware and plastic parts are practically perfect, with the clear protective factory film still intact on the mint green pickguard and tremolo cavity cover. The gloss Lake Placid Blue finish has more metalflake than most, and there's barely a scratch on the body. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is similarly pristine.

An upgraded black tolex hardshell case is included.
