Up for sale, a 2018 Fender Parallel Universe Limited Edition Whiteguard Stratocaster in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, hangtags, and COA. Designed to combine the “biting twang of a Tele with the sleek, ergonomic contours of a Strat,” this discontinued model delivers on its goals with a nitro lacquer Vintage Blonde finish and Fender Custom Shop ‘51 Nocaster pickups.Tonewoods include an ash body and one-piece maple neck, offering an authoritative and complex natural acoustic profile faithfully translated by the ‘51 Nocaster pickups. The pickups deliver a traditional Tele tonal profile with plenty of chewy twang and sparkling cut. The bridge pickup has more aggressive bite while the neck has a sweeter, bell-like character. This guitar weighs just 7lbs, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation. The one-piece maple neck has a Modern C profile carve with nicely rounded shoulders, measuring .850” deep at the 1st fret and .910” at the 12th. The fretboard has a modern 9.5" radius with practically perfect narrow-tall frets, and the guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2” scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The original bone nut measures 1 11/16” in width. On the Tele-style headstock, the Schaller-made and Fender-branded tuners turn smoothly with bright chrome plating. The electronics function flawlessly, with the ‘51 Nocaster pickups wired to a three-way pickup selector and Master Volume and Tone controls. Hardware includes the trio of compensated brass saddles and chrome-plated components comprise the bridge, control plate, dome-top knurled knobs, and removable modern "ashtray" bridge cover, all of which shine like new. The one-ply white pickguard sports a shape completely unique to this one guitar, exhibiting some pick scuffing extending across the guard and beyond it to the bass-side waist. The nitro lacquer Vintage Blonde finish highlights the broad, dynamic grain of the ash body, with cosmetic wear limited to just a few faint finish scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole. The satin finish on the neck profile is pristine. The original Fender-branded molded hardshell case is included, along with the hangtags and COA.
