Up for sale, a 2018 Fender Hybrid '60s Telecaster in near mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hangtags and gigbag. A discontinued FSR (Factory Special Run) model, this Hybrid 60s Tele features a bookmatched quilted maple top on a solid alder body, highlighted by a Transparent Green gloss finish.

The Hybrid '60s model is one of the finest Tele iterations ever produced by Fender Japan (and a model not available in the USA market), simply stunning in its forward-thinking design and player-friendly features. The guitar features USA-made Fender Pure Vintage '58 Tele pickups, USA-made CTS pots, four-way series/parallel switching, brass saddles, a bone nut, locking Kluson-style tuners, and a silky smooth satin neck profile finish. The body also has a generous belly carve with subtle relief where the forearm crosses the top and a nicely rounded top edge for added comfort.

The Pure Vintage '58 Fender pickups translate the guitar's ample acoustic properties into a vital palette of traditional Tele tones. With alnico V magnets, black fiber bobbins, a copper baseplate on the bridge pickup, and push-back cloth-covered leads, the pickups are extremely faithful to vintage spec. There's ample chewy twang and sparkle on tap in the bridge position, with a sweet, bell-like neck pickup and a very welcome 4th position on the blade switch, engaging both pickups in series for a particularly big and bold sound. The guitar weighs 7lbs 11oz, professionally dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings and low action.

The maple neck has a U-shaped profile carve with lots of shoulder and heft and lightly rolled edges, measuring .855" deep at the 1st fret and .915" at the 12th. On the thick slab 22 fret rosewood fretboard, the slender frets show just a hint of wear on the crowns of frets 1-3, playing cleanly in every register. The carved bone nut is just fractionally shy of 1 11/16" in width (42.5mm), and the headstock features Kluson-style locking tuning machines.

The electronics function flawlessly, with full-size USA-made 250K CTS pots and a four-way pickup selector toggle governing the Fender Pure Vintage '58 Tele pickup pair (both pickups are engaged in series in the 4th switch position). The brass bridge saddles deliver ideal top end zing and twang and show light surface patina, and the chrome hardware and plastic parts are nigh flawless including the knurled knobs and pale mint green pickguard. The custom color Transparent Green gloss finish highlights the deep quilt figuring on the bookmatched maple top, and there's barely a scratch on the body. The satin-finished neck profile is pristine.

The original Fender-branded padded gigbag and hangtags are included.
