Up for sale, a 2018 Fender American Performer Precision Bass in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, finished in an uncommon and discontinued "Penny" custom color. This highly versatile iteration of the P Bass platform takes its cues from the American Deluxe and Ultra models, featuring a PJ pickup design and modern, player-friendly touches including a satin neck finish, medium jumbo fretwire and a 9 1/2“ fretboard radius.
The tonewood complement comprises an alder body and maple neck, and this bass is loaded with a pair of Fender’s Yosemite pickups. These pickups feature flat pole Alnico V magnets, and the pickup coils are shellac-coated to mitigate any unwanted feedback. The split-coil Precision pickup has an expressive, well-defined voice that’s highly musical and dynamic, and there's plenty of broad thump on tap with the Tone knob rolled back to taste. The Jazz bridge pickup offers more growl and burp with a defined upper midrange, and there are a wide range of tones available via various blended combinations of the two. Additionally, the Greasebucket Tone knob sculpts the signal without losing treble detail. This American Performer Precision Bass weighs 8lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.
