Up for sale, a 2018 Ernie Ball Music Man BFR Limited Edition Cutlass SSS in like-new condition and in perfect working order. This rare and discontinued iteration of the Cutlass is from Music Man's Ball Family Reserve (BFR) series, boasting an Aged Buttercream gloss finish with matching headstock, deeply figured flame maple neck, and a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl block inlay.

The Cutlass SSS blends classic Strat-style design with premium appointments including stainless steel frets and locking tuning machines for an instrument that meets the demands of modern players. The trio of mid-'60s-style single coil pickups have a distinctive chime and bell-like tone heard on countless recordings, with an active wide-spectrum Silent Circuit which keeps these true single coils hum-free. The alder body ensures a smooth, balanced tonal response, and the guitar is lightweight at 7lbs 4oz. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, with Cutlass features fresh 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The maple neck is a deeply figured piece of flame maple with dimensional ripples extending the length of the profile and a silky smooth satin finish that feels great on the palm. The profile is a medium depth soft V shape, measuring .840" deep at the 1st fret and .940" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard has a 10" radius with 22 medium high stainless steel frets that show zero wear and play flawlessly up the 25 1/2" scale. The compensated nut ensures surgically accurate intonation, measuring 1 5/8" in width, and the headstock boasts Schaller locking tuners that ensure ideal tuning stability even with heavy vibrato use.

The electronics function flawlessly, with a five-way pickup selector toggle and Master Volume and Tone knobs to govern the trio of single coils. Hardware includes the five-bolt neck plate and two-point vibrato unit which have spotless chrome plating, and the clear factory plastic is still intact on the rear tremolo cavity cover, a testament to the sparingly little use this guitar has seen since new. There's barely a scratch on the Aged Buttercream gloss body finish, and the satin neck profile finish is equally pristine.

The original molded hardshell case, COA, and hangtags are included.
