Up for sale, a 2018 Corsa Guitars Manalishi in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and COA. Handcrafted by Larry Corsa in Pennsylvania, this masterfully built LP-style guitar combines premium tonewoods and componentry with an exceptional eye for detail and player-friendly features including a satin finish and chambered, lightweight body. It’s inspired by Peter Green’s iconic “Greeny” Les Paul, also owned by Gary Moore and Kirk Hammett, sporting a Dirty Lemon Burst finish and loaded with a pair of Corsa’s Manalishi PG Mod humbuckers.

Tonewoods include a chambered one-piece Honduran mahogany body with a two-piece flame maple top and a one-piece mahogany neck capped by a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Featherweight at just 7lbs 4oz, the tonewood complement pairs the fundamental warmth of mahogany with the treble-centric cut and note attack of maple. The pair of PG Mod humbuckers are touted by Corsa as the definitive Peter Green humbucker set, with the essential out-of-phase quality when both humbuckers are engaged. The screw coil on the neck pickup is also oriented inward as per Greeny, and these Alnico V magnet pickups deliver an ideal blend of oomph and clarity. The neck pickup meters at 7.95k ohms, with a singing fullness, and the bridge meters 8.3k ohms, with a touch more bite and midrange growl. This Manalishi has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The Honduran mahogany neck has a ‘50s-style C-shaped “baseball bat” profile carve with generous shoulders and ideal heft, measuring .900” deep at the 1st fret and .985” at the 12th. The Brazilian rosewood fretboard is a dark, tight-grained cut, featuring trapezoid pearloid inlay and flawless medium jumbo fretwire. This guitar plays cleanly up the 24 3/4“ scale with a straight neck and a responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod, and the nut measures 1 11/16” in width. The headstock sports a Corsa logo inlay, and the Kluson-style Faber Deluxe double line tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, with gently aged keystone buttons. The back of the headstock also retains Larry Corsa’s signature.

All of the electronics function as intended, comprising the PG Mod pickups wired to 500K MOJO pots with braided leads and Sprague tone capacitors. The pickup baseplates retain the factory stickers, which date to 2018 (the pots also date to 2018). The knobs for the bridge pickup controls are reflector cap, while the neck pickup controls have amber bonnets, matching the aesthetics of Greeny. The nickel-plated hardware consists of the Faber no-wire ABR-1 bridge and corresponding stopbar.

The satin Dirty Lemon Burst nitro lacquer finish highlights the flame figuring in the two-piece carved maple top, framed by cream body binding. There's virtually no cosmetic wear on the instrument save for a small nick on the lower bout body edge. The satin finish on the neck profile is immaculate.

The original Corsa-branded brown hardshell case is included, along with the COA
