Up for sale, a 2017 Takamine CP6SSDC acoustic-electric guitar in mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and factory paperwork. Handcrafted in Sakashita, Japan, this slope-shoulder cutaway dreadnought features an x-braced Adirondack spruce top, sapele back and sides, a mahogany neck, and slab ebony fretboard. Designed for the studio and the stage, the guitar is fitted with CTP-3 Cool Tube preamp featuring a 12AU7 dual-triode vacuum tube at its heart. With a 16” lower bout width and 4 3/8“ depth, the guitar has a robust natural projection, with a bold lower midrange bump and plenty of sparkle in the top end. Weighing 5lbs 14oz, this Takamine has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 12-53 strings and optimal action.
The mahogany neck has a round full and substantial-feeling C-shaped profile carve that fills the palm, measuring .890” deep at the 1st fret and 1.010” at the 9th. The thick slab ebony fretboard features mini dot inlay and pristine stock slender fretwire. The nut measures a full 1 11/16“ in width. The headstock features Takamine-branded Gotoh tuning machines that turn smoothly and hold pitch well with a satin nickel finish.
On the body, the CTP3 Cool Tube electronics work as they should, with onboard Tuner, three-band EQ with sweepable mid select, and Cool Tube tone control. The ebony bridge sits flush with the body, and the split compensated saddle has its full height. The clear factory protective plastic is intact on the tiger stripe pickguard, and the cream multi-ply binding frames the Gloss Cherry Sunburst finish. The guitar is in mint condition with virtually no wear to report.
The original brown tolex Takamine hardshell case is included, along with the factory paperwork.
