Up for sale, a 2017 Paul Reed Smith McCarty 594 in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. PRS' McCarty 594 gracefully blends elements of a fine vintage instrument with modern building processes and appointments.Tonewoods include the traditional pairing of a figured, carved and bookmatched curly maple top with a mahogany body and a mahogany neck capped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard. Resonant, lively and nuanced acoustically, these qualities are translated faithfully via the humbucker pair. The 58/18 LT humbuckers are only available from PRS loaded in one of their instruments (not sold separately), and these highly prized low-wind PAF-style pickups are extremely articulate, sweet, and expressive. Both pickups have dedicated push/pull coil taps on the Tone controls as well for sparkling, snappy single coil tonalities. This PRS weighs 7lbs 13oz, strung with 10-46 strings and dialed in for low action and spot-on intonation.The mahogany neck has PRS' Vintage profile carve, a '50s-style C shape that offers plenty of substance and heft in all registers, measuring .875" deep at the 1st fret and .950" at the 12th. The East Indian rosewood fretboard has a 10" radius with flawless fretwire and "birds in flight" inlay, playing effortlessly up the 24.594" scale length. The carved bone nut measures 1 11/16", and the headstock has a rosewood veneer with open-gear locking tuning machines that turn smoothly and have excellent stability.The electronics function flawlessly, and the quartet of knobs are in like-new condition. The bridge has brass saddles, and the tailpiece has matching brass mounting screws; all of the nickel-plated hardware shines like new.The gloss McCarty Tobacco Sunburst finish is framed on top by maple binding and highlights the flame figuring in the bookmatched maple top. This guitar is in fantastic shape, with just a scant few tiny marks on the body as a whole. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is pristine.The original hardshell case is included, along with the hangtags and factory paperwork.
