Up for sale, a 2017 Gretsch Players Edition G6119T Tennessee Rose in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A modernized spin on the Chet Atkins Tennessean platform, the "Players Edition" boasts Gretsch's 'ML' bracing, a pinned bar bridge, 'string-thru' Bigsby B6G, Schaller strap locks, Schaller locking tuners, Squeezebox tone caps, a treble-bleed circuit, No-Load tone pots and a slender 2.25" deep maple body.With all maple body construction, a two-piece maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, this Gretsch has both immediacy and sonic breadth. The body's ML bracing is essentially a hybrid between Gretsch's Parallel bracing and Trestle bracing, delivering the huge, open tone of the former, combined with the feedback-busting, sustain inducing properties of the latter. As Gretsch's most enduringly popular pickup, these Filter'Trons deliver plenty of bounce and chewy cut on the wound strings, with a complex, textured sparkle in the treble register, and a bit of midrange push and bark. Weighing 7lbs 5oz, we've had this Gretsch professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action and accurate intonation.The neck has a slender C-shaped profile with moderate shoulders, measuring .820" deep at the 1st fret and .915" at the 9th. The rosewood fretboard has pearl thumbnail inlay and flawless slender fretwire, playing cleanly up the 24.6" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock features locking Schaller tuning machines ensuring optimal stability even with liberal Bigsby use.Electronically, everything works as it should, with the Filter'Tron pickups wired to a Master Volume, Master Tone, dedicated Volume knobs for each pickup, and a three-way pickup selector switch. Hardware includes the B6G vibrato tailpiece, bar bridge with floating rosewood base, and "G" pointer knobs. The gloss Cherry finish is exceedingly clean, exhibiting just a few extremely faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss on the body as a whole.The original hardshell case is included.
