Up for sale, a 2017 Gibson SG Faded T in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original padded gigbag. This SG features a satin Worn Cherry nitro lacquer finish, 490R/490T humbuckers, and a maple neck with a SlimTaper '60s profile carve, featherweight at 6lbs 4oz
The 490R/490T humbuckers have plenty of power on tap, featuring Alnico II construction; this pickup is Gibson’s Modern Classic humbucker, similar in its response to a PAF, yet with more midrange emphasis. The neck pickup is smooth and gutsy, while the bridge has plenty of muscle and growl, and these pickups are also well-suited for high gain scenarios. This SG Faded T has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: SlimTaper, ‘60s-style C, measuring .800” 1st fret, .815” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, dot inlay
-Frets: Medium jumbo, virtually no wear
-Scale Length: 24 3/4”
-Nut: 1 11/16”, Tektoid self-lubricating
-Tuners: Gibson Deluxe (Kluson-style)
-Serialization: 17-prefix, “Made in USA 2017 Model” text stamped on back of peghead
Body Specs:
-Wood: Mahogany
-Pickups: 490R/490T humbuckers
-Harness: Gibson-branded Alpha pots, circuit board harness
-Hardware: Nashville bridge, stopbar (nickel-plated)
-Plastics: Four-ply black pickguard, bonnet knobs
The Worn Cherry nitro lacquer satin finish has no grain filler for an open-pore feel. Cosmetic wear is limited to light scuffing along the strum path, a touch of forearm wear at the bass-side lower bout edge, and just a couple minor marks on the body as a whole. The neck profile retains its smooth satin lacquer save for one area of rack rash behind fret 14 that has been buffed smooth, nigh imperceptible to the palm.
The original Gibson padded gigbag is included.
