Up for sale, a 2017 Gibson ES-335 Studio in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and COA. Crafted at the now shuttered (and highly regarded) Gibson factory in Memphis, Tennessee, this Studio is a sleek modern iteration of the classic 335 platform with a gloss Wine Red nitro lacquer finish. A short-lived model in this particular incarnation, this is arguably the finest combination of pickups and tonewoods to bear the Studio name, not to be confused with lesser two knob iterations.

The Studio model features maple semi-hollowbody construction with a maple center block and spruce bracing, paired with a one-piece maple neck and torrified maple fingerboard. The result is a clear, snappy acoustic voice with a certain airy sweetness. Loaded with the factory pair of '57 Classic PAFs, the guitar has a detailed and round sound in the neck position, pairing well with the bridge humbucker that offers plenty of kick, snarl, and harmonic fullness, not to mention Gibson's near-endless sustain. The guitar is easy on the back at 8lbs 5oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, accurate intonation, and low action.

The one-piece maple neck has a "Soft C" profile carve, and this medium depth shape has just enough roundness in the shoulders and lightly rolled binding edges, measuring .840" deep at the 1st fret and .910" at the 12th. The torrified maple fretboard features pearl dot inlay and black binding, with practically perfect medium jumbo fretwire. The guitar plays easily up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck with a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The black Corian nut measures 1 11/16" in width. On the headstock, the guitar is fitted with nickel-plated locking Grover "milk bottle" Rotomatic tuning machines.

On the body, the electronics all function as intended with Gibson's traditional ES-335 control layout including  individual Volume and Tone knobs for each pickup coupled to a three-way pickup selector toggle. The nickel-plated hardware is clean as can be, and cosmetic wear on the gloss Wine Red finish includes some light scuffing on the lower bout on the back, and a few ancillary minor marks and light finish scratches on the body as a whole. There is light finish checking on the cutaways on top, a spot of targeted pick wear on the treble side of the strum path, and a couple tiny finish chips adjacent to the treble-side bridge thumbwheel.

The original black tolex hardshell case is included, along with the COA.
