Up for sale, a 2017 Gibson Les Paul Standard T in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, finished in Desert Burst and complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. A feature-rich Gibson model that was only briefly available, the '17 Standard offers modern, player-friendly tweaks including coil tapping, phase switching, and a "pure bypass" pickup mode, all accessed by a quartet of push/pull pots, as well as a compound fretboard radius and locking Grover tuners.Lightweight at 8lbs 3oz, this Les Paul features a weight-relieved mahogany body, bookmatched two-piece AAA flame maple top, a one-piece mahogany neck, and bound rosewood fingerboard. The Burstbucker Pro PAF pickups offer characteristic harmonic complexity and sweetness, qualities in part derived from their unmatched bobbin windings. Fatter and slightly meatier than a typical PAF, these pickups positively sing with more drive and attack, thanks to the Alnico V magnet design, while also offering excellent noise rejection for high gain scenarios. This Les Paul Standard T benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation. The neck has Gibson's modern SlimTaper C profile which measures .795" deep at the 1st fret and .870" at the 12th. The dark rosewood fretboard features a 10-16" compound radius and flawless fretwire, playing cleanly in every register up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock is fitted with the original Grover locking tuning machines with flawless chrome. All of the electronics work as intended, with a quartet of push/pull pots offering broad tonal options not typically found on a Les Paul. The chrome-plated hardware is clean as can be, and both Gibson Burstbucker Pro humbuckers have their original PAF stickers and date of manufacture stickers on the baseplates. Plastics comprise the quartet of ambered bonnet knobs and the single-ply pickguard (uninstalled from the factory to better showcase the AAA flame maple). The Desert Burst gloss nitro lacquer finish ensures that the straight flame figuring across the two-piece carved maple cap really pops, and the top's figuring is dense and dimensional from every angle. Cosmetic wear is limited to just a couple faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss. The original hardshell case, pickguard, and factory paperwork is included.
