Up for sale, a 2017 Fender Hybrid ‘50s Stratocaster in near-mint condition featuring an FSR (Factory Special Run) custom color Ocean Turquoise Metallic finish and complete with hangtags. One of the finest (now discontinued) Strat iterations ever produced by Fender Japan, and a model not available in the USA market, the Hybrid '50s Stratocaster is simply stunning in its forward-thinking design and player-friendly features. The guitar features an alder body, modern 9 1/2” fretboard radius, a set of Fender's American Vintage 57/62 black bobbin pickups, USA-spec CTS pots, a two-point Synchronized Tremolo, locking Kluson-style tuners, larger fretwire, and a satin neck profile finish.
The perfect marriage of Vintage and Modern, the Hybrid '50s model is true to its name, yet the tonal range of the instrument is firmly in the Vintage camp. The alder body is a resonant, balanced tonal platform for the black bobbin Fender American Vintage 57/62 pickups, which feature staggered, beveled alnico magnets and cloth-covered leads; delivering a clear, sparkling top end, smooth midrange character, and a full yet focused bass that has a nice snap. This Hybrid 50s Stratocaster weighs 7lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
