Up for sale, a 2017 Fender '68 Custom Princeton Reverb "Black & Blue" Limited Edition in near-mint condition and in perfect working order. While the circuit is the current '68 Custom iteration of the Princeton, cosmetics align with the Black Panel era. From a limited run of 200 units, the Black & Blue version features a black tweed wrap, loaded with a Celestion Blue alnico magnet speaker.
One of the most lauded British speakers ever made, the Celestion Blue's warm body, distinctive growl, and alnico chime pairs perfectly with the Princeton's circuit. Fender tweaked the original Princeton circuitry for the '68 Custom, offering further tonal flexibility with pedals and reduced negative feedback for greater touch sensitivity and quicker overdrive onset. The factory Fender/Groove Tubes tube set is intact.
The amp functions flawlessly with sparingly little wear on the enclosure, and cosmetics include black tweed, black grillcloth, and a Black Panel faceplate. Beneath the tube chart, the March 27th, 2017 dated sticker is present.
