Up for sale, a 2017 Ernie Ball Music Man St. Vincent Stealth Black edition in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. A discontinued, short-run version of the St. Vincent (Annie Clark) signature model, this guitar features proprietary components including the Custom Music Man Modern tremolo and custom DiMarzio mini humbuckers. This limited edition Stealth Black iteration of the St. Vincent signature is foundationally distinct from other St. Vincent models, featuring an African mahogany body and maple neck capped with a slab ebony fretboard.Offering more percussive clarity and glassy note attack than rosewood-necked versions of the St Vincent platform, the African mahogany body ensures ideal fundamental warmth and tonal breadth. The ample acoustic properties of this model are faithfully captured by the trio of custom DiMarzio mini humbuckers. The pickups are smooth and snappy with tight low end, chiming highs, and ideal midrange content. Weighing just 7lbs 5oz, this Stealth Black St. Vincent has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation. The neck profile carve has notable heft and roundness, very subtly inferring a soft V shape at the nut, quickly filling out to a more conventional C-shaped carve further up the fretboard, measuring .850” deep at the 1st fret and .945” at the 12th. The thick slab ebony fretboard has a 10" radius, featuring unique double-circle “S” inlays with flawless stainless steel high profile medium width fretwire. This guitar plays cleanly up the 25 1/2” scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally-adjusted truss rod. The compensated nut measures 1 5/8” in width. The headstock features the “S T V” hyper-stylized logo, with black Schaller M6 locking tuners that turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch. The serial on the five-bolt contoured neck plate dates this guitar to November 17, 2017.All the electronics work as intended, with the trio of DiMarzio mini humbuckers governed by a five-way selector switch and Master Volume and Tone controls. The five-way selector engages each pickup individually, with all three engaged in position 4, and the neck and bridge humbuckers engaged in position 5. Plastics include the unique three-point knobs with ridged grips for easy swells and adjustments, along with the matte black pickguard, which has a few faint scuffs across the pick path. Matte black hardware includes the Custom Music Man Modern floating two-point vibrato with vintage-style bent steel saddles, which actuates smoothly and quickly bounces back to pitch. This is an exceedingly well-kept example with barely a scratch on the body and only a couple microscopic marks on the lower bout body edge. The neck sports an ultra-light satin poly finish unique to the Stealth Black model which is equally pristine and feels lightning fast in the palm. The original hardshell case and hangtags are included.
