Up for sale, a 2017 Epiphone ES-339 P-90 Pro limited edition semi-hollowbody electric guitar in showroom clean condition and in perfect working order. Now discontinued, this Epiphone features a custom color Pelham Blue gloss finish over a scaled down semi-hollow maple body with a 14" lower bout with. This guitar is loaded with Epiphone's P-90R Pro "soapbar" pickup, a recreation of the first generation of P-90 pickups, individually voiced for rhythm and lead and provide a broad tonal spectrum. Featherweight at 6lbs 15oz, this Epiphone has been dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 roundwound strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
The mahogany neck has a SlimTaper D-shaped profile carve with full shoulders, measuring .845" deep at the 1st fret and .925" at the 12th. The rosewood fingerboard boasts a 12" radius and flawless medium jumbo fretwire, and the guitar plays easily up the 24 3/4" scale. The nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock boasts Epiphone Deluxe-branded Kluson-style tuners with greened tulip buttons.
The electronics function as they should, with individual Volume and Tone knobs for the pair of P-90 pickups. The nickel hardware includes an ABR-1-style bridge and stopbar, and a quartet of black reflector cap knobs and pickguard with "E" epsilon round out the plastics. There's barely a scratch on the Pelham Blue gloss finish.
