Up for sale, a 2016 Victoria Victorilux tube amp head and 2x12 cabinet in showroom-clean condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch and slip covers. Victoria offers some of the finest boutique amps on the market, favored by players including Joe Bonamassa and Dan Auerbach. Hand-wired in Naperville, Illinois, this uncommon iteration of the Victorilux is a Class AB, cathode-biased, 40 watt amplifier with a classic Fender-style design, boasting hand-wired circuitry on a traditional eyelet board, two Eminence Legend 12” speakers, and a footswitchable tube-driven spring Reverb and Tremolo.
Delivering the same signature warmth and clean headroom characteristic of Fender’s Black Panel-era, the Victorilux’s hand-wired circuit features premium, vintage-spec components throughout, including Sprague and Jupiter capacitors along with CTS and Mojo pots with date codes translating to 2015. The stock Lenco Electronics power, reverb, and output transformers date to the 15th, 30th, and 46th weeks of 2015, and the choke was manufactured by Marvel Electric Corp. The tube complement includes a pair of Tung-Sol 6L6GC power tubes, a JJ GZ34S rectifier, and a combination of GE, Tung-Sol, and JJ valves in the preamp.
The cabinet is loaded with the original Victoria-branded Eminence Legend 12” ceramic magnet speakers, with clean frames and stickers on the edge of the magnets dating to the 16th week of 2016.
There’s barely a mark on the tweed or oxblood grillcloth. The faceplate and graphics are pristine, with crisp white silkscreen text and a full complement of chicken head knobs.
The original two-button footswitch and pair of Victoria slip covers are included.
