Up for sale, a circa 2016 Music Land KEY Limited Edition Elk Cutlass CT model in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a zippered softshell case. Founded by Yukiyasu Yamada in Japan, Elk produced a wide catalog of instruments heavily influenced by American designs throughout the Japanese “eleki” guitar boom of the 1960s. This limited reissue was produced by Elk’s modern successor, Music Land KEY. Introduced at the 2016 Japan Musical Instruments Fair in commemoration of the brand’s 50th anniversary, this T-style guitar features a pair of vintage-style humbuckers and a Bigsby B50 vibrato.

Weighing 7lbs 6oz, tonewoods include an alder body and a maple neck capped by a bound rosewood fingerboard, delivering a clear, balanced acoustic response. Metering 7.6k ohms at the neck and 8.5k ohms at the bridge, each position yields a punchy sound with growl at the bridge and a fat, full quality at the neck. This Limited Edition Cutlass has been professionally set up here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
