Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2016 Godin Multiac Nylon SA acoustic-electric guitar in near mint condition, complete with the original hardshell case and paperwork. This particular Multiac was purchased at NAMM and played (and subsequently signed) by Doyle Dykes. Handcrafted in Canada and designed to sound exceptional either plugged in or unplugged, the Nylon SA features a solid spruce top over a large chambered mahogany body, with a mahogany neck and Richlite fingerboard. Wired with an analog 1/4“ output for the transducer pickup, custom RMC electronics, and 13-pin capabilities for computer and synth access, this extremely versatile guitar can truly do it all while keeping the controls simple and intuitive. The output from the bridge transducer system produces six separate signals, one for each string. This divided signal is what Godin likes to call "hexaphonic," and is used to drive the synthesizer elements of the instrument, as well as the 1/4“ output. The Richlite fretboard has an appearance and response similar to ebony, and improves natural note definition and synth tracking. While guitar synth systems in the past were technically complicated and required radical changes in playing technique, Godin provides a new standard in user-friendliness and performance. Weighing 6lbs 3oz, this Multiac Nylon SA has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with hybrid nylon strings and low action. The mahogany neck has a slender C-shaped profile with good shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .795” at the 1st fret and .885” at the 12th. The Richlite fretboard features mini dot inlay and pristine stock slender fretwire with a player-friendly 16” radius. The scale length is 25 1/2“, and the Tusq nut measures 1 7/8“ in width. The slotted headstock features chrome strip tuners with cream buttons that turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The serial number and model info are present on the back of the headstock, which also includes Doyle Dykes' signature. All of the electronics work as they should, with custom Godin electronics for the 1/4“ and 13-pin outputs, including Program Up, Program Down, and Mid Frequency selector controls, with sliders for Guitar Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass, and Synth Volume. Cosmetically, this guitar has barely a scratch on it, with a transparent gloss natural finish framed by multi-ply cream binding. The neck profile sports an equally pristine smooth satin finish. The original hardshell case and paperwork is included.
