Up for sale, a 2016 Godin A12 acoustic-electric guitar in near mint condition, complete with the original hardshell case and paperwork. Expertly crafted to sound exceptional either plugged-in or unplugged, this A12 features a solid bookmatched cedar top over a chambered silver leaf maple body, and a rock maple neck with rosewood fretboard and bridge. The natural projection is brilliant and chiming, with a nuanced midrange character, and a focused low end that delivers plenty of warmth and fullness. A custom Godin undersaddle transducer with top-mounted preamp governs the A12's plugged-in tonal properties, channeling the instrument’s inherent smooth jangle and woody percussive cut through your amplifier of choice. The guitar weighs 7lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with low action and optimal intonation.
The one-piece hard maple neck has a slender C shaped profile with good shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .790” deep at the 1st fret and filling out to .905” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features mini dot inlay, pristine stock slender fretwire, and a player-friendly 16” radius. The guitar plays effortlessly in every register up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod. The scale length is 25 1/2“, and the Tusq nut measures a full 1 7/8“ in width, offering ideal spacing for a 12 string. The headstock features Godin-branded tuning machines with ebony buttons that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.
The electronics work flawlessly, and the rosewood bridge sits flush with the solid cedar top. Cosmetically, this Godin is in near mint condition. As a testament to how little this guitar has been played since new, the clear factory protective plastic is still intact on the rear control cavity. The smooth satin finish on the neck profile is pristine too.
The original hardshell case and paperwork are included.
