Up for sale, a 2016 Fender “Manhattan” Guitar Magazine 35th Anniversary Telecaster in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original gigbag and hangtags. This exceedingly rare “Made in Japan” Telecaster is 1 of 35 produced to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Guitar Magazine, a Japanese periodical. It boasts a unique feature set including a "Roller" Gold Foil pickup in the neck position, USA-spec electronics, and a thin-skin nitro lacquer Black gloss finish accented by a one-ply gold plexi pickguard.

Tonewoods include an ash body and a one-piece maple neck, delivering a vital, lively acoustic response with a certain midrange heft and complexity. The unique pickup configuration includes a "Roller" Gold Foil neck pickup and a vintage-style single coil at the bridge; the bridge has plenty of quintessential Tele twang and snap, pairing very well with the overall balance, clarity, and fullness afforded by the gold foil design. This Tele weighs 9lbs 1oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The Thin-Skin Black nitro lacquer finish allows the wood to be as resonant as possible and gives the body a porous, open-grain feel. There's barely a scratch on the body, and the smooth satin finish on the neck profile is immaculate.
