Up for sale, a 2016 Fender Japan Exclusive Classic 60s Stratocaster vintage reissue electric guitar in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. With a rare gloss Sienna Sunburst finish, this Made in Japan Strat was sold exclusively to the Japanese domestic market (as the model name would suggest) and had a particularly short production run, thus rarely seen outside its country of origin. If you're looking to deliver plenty of authoritative single coil cut, it's hard to beat this particular ceramic magnet single coil pickup compliment. These pickups have more punch and power than the more common alnico pickups and sound distinct and clear in all positions on the five-way switch. Weighing 7lbs 5oz, this Strat has a bold tone with great clarity. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and strung with fresh 10-46 strings, this Strat is ready for stage and studio use.

The maple neck has a full-feeling C shaped profile with rounded shoulders and a smooth lightly ambered gloss finish. The thick slab rosewood fretboard is a tight-grained cut with a traditional 7 1/4" fretboard radius and stock vintage-style frets. The frets have good height and meat, with light uniform wear on the crowns of frets 1-3, growing gradually fainter exclusively beneath the plain strings to fret 13. The guitar plays effortlessly up the 25 1/2" scale, and the nut measures 1 5/8" in width. On the headstock, the Kluson-style Gotoh tuning machines have the correct vintage look, turn smoothly, and hold pitch well.

All of the electronics work as they should, with a trio of staggered pole piece single coil pickups. The vibrato has a full-size block for great sustain, and the unit is very responsive for smooth surfy warbles and deeper dives, jumping back to the original pitch with ease. The gloss Sienna Sunburst finish is accented by a three-ply white pickguard and cream plastic parts, and the chrome hardware has plenty of shine with light patina particularly on the jack plate. The gloss finish shows only a few tiny marks in the clear coat on top, with more concentrated wear on the back and body parameter, with a notable ding on the back treble side at the waist, an isolated finish chip on the back lower bout body edge, and some additional scattered marks and scuffs. The smooth ambered gloss finish on the neck profile is quite clean with just a few microscopic marks that are not distracting.

A gigbag is included.
