Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 2016 Fender USA Geddy Lee Jazz Bass in near mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and factory paperwork. An alder-bodied instrument with a one-piece maple neck, the bass weighs 9lbs 4oz and even acoustically the instrument has a particularly deep and resonant sound. The bass is outfitted with its stock pair of custom voiced American Vintage '70s Geddy Lee single coil pickups which deliver plenty of treble articulation, present low end growl and sweet upper midrange burp. This Geddy Lee Jazz Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, comfortable action and accurate intonation.

The maple neck has a "Custom C" neck profile carve, medium depth with good shoulder in every register, measuring .830" deep at the 1st fret and 1.005" at the 12th. The gloss-finished bound maple fretboard features pearloid block inlay and a modern 9 1/2" radius with medium jumbo fretwire that retains its full factory height and well-rounded crowns. The frets show only very faint wear on the crowns beneath the A and D strings on frets 1-3, playing cleanly up the 34" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 1/2" in width, and the headstock has vintage-spec tuners with flawless chrome plating, long stems, and clover buttons. Geddy's signature is present on the back of the headstock.

All of the electronics work as intended, and the hardware includes a Fender High Mass bridge, a spin on the classic Leo Quan Badass design, offering more sustain and low end heft. The gloss Black finish is accented by a white pearloid pickguard, and the chrome plating on the hardware is positively gleaming. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss on the back, and light pick wear framing the treble-side edge of the bridge pickup. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless save for one small mark central to the carve behind fret 6.

The original hardshell case is included, showing some wear on the exterior and complete with functional latches and handle. The factory paperwork is also included.
