Up for sale, a 2015 History TH-BP4/R P/J electric bass guitar in showroom-clean condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtag. Produced in Japan at the Fujigen factory and rarely seen outside its country of origin, this PJ Bass features a gloss Candy Apple Green finish over a solid two-piece alder body, a Heritage Wood hard maple neck, and thick slab rosewood fretboard. There's a great range of tones available on the PJ, offering both the ample thump and heft of a split coil Precision neck pickup, and the midrange cut and articulation of a Jazz pickup at the bridge. Weighing 8lbs 13oz, this History bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with roundwound 45-105 strings and dialed in with comfortable action and accurate intonation.

The one-piece maple neck has a slender C shaped profile carve, filling out with more shoulder and substance as you travel up the fretboard, measuring .820" deep at the 1st fret and .965" at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard features History's unique Circle Fretting System and flawless medium jumbo fretwire. The fretwire is imperceptibly curved, installed so that each string and fret intersect at right angles to minimize the contact surface, yielding more accurate pitch, cleaner longer sustaining notes, and truer harmonics. The bass plays cleanly up the full 34" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The fretboard has a modern 9 1/2" radius, and the oil soaked cow bone nut measures 1 9/16" in width. On the headstock, the stock chrome Gotoh tuning machines turn smoothly and hold pitch well with bright chrome plating.

All of the original electronics work as intended, with individual Volume knobs for each pickup and a Master Tone control with premium Orange Drop capacitor. Hardware includes the titanium KTS top-loader bridge and trio of knurled knobs, and a three-ply parchment pickguard accents the gloss Candy Apple Green finish. There's barely a scratch on the body, and the satin finish on the neck profile is equally pristine.

The original hardshell case, hangtag, and factory paperwork is included.
