Up for sale, a 2015 Godin Multiac Spectrum SA steel string acoustic-electric guitar in showroom clean condition, complete with the original hardshell case and paperwork. This one-owner guitar was purchased new at NAMM, played and signed by Doyle Dykes. Handcrafted in Canada and designed to sound exceptional either plugged-in or unplugged, the Spectrum SA features a solid spruce top over a large chambered mahogany body, with a mahogany neck and Richlite fingerboard. Loaded with a Seymour Duncan Lipstick pickup at the neck, custom Godin electronics, and 13-pin capabilities for computer and synth access, this extremely versatile guitar can truly do it all while keeping the controls simple and intuitive. The Lipstick pickup features an Alnico V bar magnet and special coil wind to provide instantly recognizable spank and sparkle. The jangly quality is well-suited for the pickup's neck position placement, optimized for a broad range of singing clean tones and expressive rhythm playing. Leads have a snarly breakup when overdriven with a lively grittiness. The output from the bridge transducer system produces six separate signals, one for each string. Godin calls this divided signal "hexaphonic," used to drive the synthesizer elements of the instrument. The Richlite fretboard has an appearance and immediate tonal response similar to ebony, improving the synth tracking. While guitar synth systems in the past were technically complicated and required radical changes in playing technique, Godin provides a new standard in user-friendliness and performance. Weighing 7lbs 6oz, this Spectrum SA has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation. The mahogany neck has a round and substantial C profile carve with full shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .875” deep at the 1st and 12th frets. The Richlite fretboard features mini dot inlay and pristine stock slender fretwire with a player-friendly 16” radius. The guitar plays effortlessly up the straight neck with an ideally adjusted and responsive truss rod. The scale length is 25 1/2“, and the Tusq nut measures 1 11/16“ in width. The slotted headstock features chrome strip tuners with white pearloid buttons that turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The serial number and model info are present on the back, along with Doyle Dykes' signature. All of the electronics work as they should, and the guitar comes stock from the factory with a Seymour Duncan Lipstick pickup governed by Master Volume and Tone knobs on the bass-side upper bout. The custom Godin electronics for the 13-pin output include Program Up, Program Down, and Mid Frequency controls, with sliders for Guitar Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass, and Synth Volume. Cosmetically, this guitar has barely a scratch on it, with a gloss Black finish framed by herringbone binding. The neck profile sports a pristine smooth satin finish. The original hardshell case and paperwork is included.
