Up for sale, a 2015 Gibson Memphis Custom Shop 1964 ES-330TD in near mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original COA and hardshell case. A limited run Custom Shop offering with only 150 produced worldwide, this ES-330 is the most vintage-correct iteration of this thinline fully-hollow ES platform offered in the modern era.

Crafted at Gibson's now shuttered and widely celebrated Memphis, TN factory, this ES-330 features maple/poplar/maple three-ply fully hollow body construction, with a mahogany headblock & tailblock, and quartered Adirondack Spruce bracing. The one-piece mahogany neck has a "Traditional C" profile carve, capped with a dark rosewood fretboard and fitted with a Historic, unsheathed truss rod design. The MHS (Memphis Historic Spec) P-90 pair has a glassy, dynamic quality with plenty of midrange bark and percussive cut. The bridge pickup has a nice chewy character with ample top end sparkle, and the neck pickup is broad and full-sounding, taking advantage of the fully hollow construction for a particularly huge sound that's a perfect candidate for overdriven lead lines. The guitar is featherweight at only 6lbs 3oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-48 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The one-piece mahogany neck has Gibson's "Traditional C" profile, a medium depth carve with notably round shoulders and ideal heft, measuring .835" deep at the 1st fret and .999" at the 9th. The frets are flawless on the bound rosewood fretboard which also features celluloid pearl small block inlays. The guitar plays effortlessly up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nylon nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock features Kluson-style white button tuning machines.

All of the electronics work as intended, with the MHS P-90 pickup pair governed by a three-way pickup selector toggle and dedicated Volume and Tone knobs for each pickup. Gibson Custom even went to the trouble of replicating Sprague's Black Beauty tone capacitors for this faithful reissue model. The nickel hardware shows faux aging as part of the VOS factory treatment, and the ABR-1 bridge has vintage-spec nylon saddles. Plastics comprise a quartet of gold reflector cap knobs, a white switch tip, and four-ply black pickguard. The orange oval label with five digit serial number is visible through the F hole. The VOS "Vintage Burst" Sunburst nitro lacquer finish has a warm amber center with deep brownish black edges, exceedingly clean with just a couple very faint finish scratches in the clear coat of the gloss central to the back. The neck profile finish exhibits zero wear, and this is a nigh flawless example of a Gibson Custom Shop reissue model made in very small quantities.

The original black tolex Gibson USA hardshell case is included, along with the original COA with matching serial.
