2015 Gibson Les Paul Special T Honeyburst w/ Lindy Fralin PAF, Hangtags

+ shipping

Up for sale, a 2015 Gibson Les Paul Special T in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A rare factory humbucker-equipped iteration of the Special, this limited run model is finished in gloss nitro lacquer Honeyburst, upgraded with a Lindy Fralin PAF in the bridge position and a custom tortoise pickguard. The solid mahogany body delivers plenty of natural warmth and power, and at 8lbs this Les Paul is very easy on the back. The neck pickup is an unmarked PAF-style humbucker metering at 7.5k ohms, while the bridge pickup is Lindy Fralin's Modern PAF. This boutique pickup has the clarity and dynamic range of a traditional PAF with a bit more midrange heft for richer, quicker breakup. We've had this Gibson dialed in here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-50 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The mahogany neck has Gibson's SlimTaper '60s profile carve with round shoulders and a fast feel, measuring .800" deep at the 1st fret and .865" at the 12th. On the bound dark rosewood fretboard, the stock frets show virtually no wear with plenty of meat and their full factory height. The guitar plays cleanly up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock features the stock Grover Rotomatic tuning machines.

The electronics include the humbucker pair wired to the stock harness with Gibson-embossed Alpha pots. The humbuckers feature aged nickel covers, and hardware includes a Nashville bridge and corresponding stopbar with bright chrome plating. Plastics comprise a quartet of deeply ambered bonnet knobs and a custom tortoise pickguard. The gloss Honeyburst nitro lacquer finish shows only a few finish scratches on the back and a few minor marks on the body as a whole, with some pick scuffing across the strum path. The neck retains its smooth gloss, showing just one shallow mark on the bass-side shoulder behind fret 3, imperceptible to the palm while fretting.

The original factory paperwork is included, along with the padded Gibson USA gigbag.
