Up for sale, a 2015 Fujigen FGN Neo Classic SNST103 S-style HSS electric guitar in showroom clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hangtags and padded gigbag. As the factory best known for all of Fender Japan's output in their golden "Made in Japan" era, Fujigen has also crafted some spectacular instruments under their own banner. With its ash body, maple neck with a slab compound radius 22 fret maple fretboard, two-point vibrato, and vintage-style pickups, this Fujigen model is a proper Superstrat in every sense of the word.
The SNST103 offers a traditional Strat spank and sparkle in the neck and middle positions, with a PAF-style humbucker at the bridge. The humbucker delivers plenty of richness and growl while also cleaning up nicely, with a push/pull coil tap on the second Tone control for true single coil functionality as well. The instrument is lightweight at 7lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
The maple neck has a moderately chunky C-shaped profile carve with full shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .855" deep at the 1st fret and .970" at the 12th. The 22 fret slab maple fretboard features a compound 10-14" modern radius for effortless chording and broad bending, with notes that sing out in every register. The fretwire is just shy of medium jumbo with plenty of meat and crown, exhibiting no wear and playing cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale with a straight neck with a responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The hand-carved bone nut that measures 1.650“ in width. On the headstock, the Kluson-style tuners turn smoothly and hold pitch well.
All of the electronics function as intended, with full-size 250k pots, shielded pickup cavities, and a traditional Strat Volume/Tone/Tone control layout and five-way pickup selector switch. The vibrato features Fujigen-branded saddles and a two-point pivot for deep bends and expressive warbles. The ash body has very broad, dynamic grain, highlighted by the rich Blueburst gloss finish which is flawless save for a couple exceedingly faint finish scratches adjacent to the input jack. The protective clear factory film is still intact over the white pearloid pickguard, a testament to the sparingly little use this guitar has seen since new. The satin finish on the neck profile is flawless.
The original FGN-branded gigbag is included, along with all factory paperwork.
